How many hours I have spent on….
Brainstorming I spent about 1:30 hours. I took my time brainstorming because I wanted to make sure that when I was doing my video I knew exactly what was going to be included and where I would put that information.
Interviewing I spent about a little over an hour. What took the longest was having to reshoot the interview because people messed up. I had all the questions prepared ahead of time so that helped to not make the interviews so long.
Getting other information I spent about an hour. It was very easy to do a Google search and have information come up. What took the longest was having to find what I need for a certain slide so the information would go together.
Transferring information about an hour. Once I figured out how to put the information in the movie it went along fast. It was the getting started part that was hard.
Using the software I spent 2 hours. There is so many things that you can do on IMovie that I wanted to make sure I knew how to use the software before I made the movie. It helps having an understanding about the software before you start making the film.
Making the video I spent about 4 to 5 hours on that. I made sure that the layout was good and it took time to add music, pictures and the interviews.
I believe I spent a good amount of time on this project and I think it paid off. When I got the assignment I was like it only has to be 8 minutes this will be easy. That is definitely not true 8 minutes is a very long time for a movie. I think if helps by having interviews and pictures because it gives your viewer something they can understand because it is coming from their peers.
